2 Chainz was disappointed by his "friends" who ditched his annual turkey drive.
The Atlanta rapper and his Tru Foundation hosted their annual turkey giveaway last week at his Esco Restaurant in Atlanta. They gave away numerous turkeys ahead of Thanksgiving to plenty of grateful citizens. However, Tity Boi noticed that his friends declined to support his charitable event and put them on blast.
“I stayed up all night and still went to give back to people in the community," he said on Instagram Live. "People ask me for favors all the time. Ask me for money all the time, and y’all can’t even pop up to help me help other people.”
“So now I’m working for you? I’m out here grindin’, getting my money to help you because you can’t get your hustle together," he continued. "I’m helping the unfortunate, and you one of the unfortunate, but you ain’t even gonna come back? I’m just sittin’ here thinkin’, y’all gon’ have to leave me the f**k alone for a minute for real.”
The "No Lie" rapper didn't call out anyone in particular so it's not clear if any special guests were scheduled to pull up. Nonetheless, he wasn't happy about the lack of support from his circle of friends.
2 Chainz is known for giving back to the community with his Tru Foundation — a non-profit organization he founded with his wife Nakesha Ward-Epps in 2011. Over the years, he's provided school supplies for children and even blessed a family with a brand-new minivan with funds from his "Dabbing Santa" sweaters.
