YoungBoy Never Broke Again is no longer performing in Chicago after his "MASA Tour" stop was abruptly canceled.

On Monday, September 22, the United Center in Chicago decided to shut down YB's forthcoming show just days before the Baton Rouge rapper was scheduled to hit the stage. The venue announced its last-minute cancellation in a statement posted to its official website.

"The United Center has made the decision to cancel the NBA YoungBoy show scheduled for Wednesday, September 24 in Chicago," the statement reads. "If you purchased through Ticketmaster, refunds will be issued automatically. If you purchased from a third-party reseller, please reach out to your point of purchase."

Soon after the show was canceled, YB's manager Alex Junnier took to Instagram and reacted to the news. "@unitedcenter b***hed out," he wrote with a laughing emoji in his Instagram Story. "Shout out to Joe Myhra at @unitedcenter He didn't want us to have fun 🤷🏽‍♂️🤣 scary."

The venue did not clarify exactly why they decided to cancel the show, but it's definitely not due to attendance. In fact, some fans pointed out that the show was sold out in advance. Before the United Center shut down its comment section on Instagram, YB's loyal followers flooded its posts with complaints about the cancellation.

"IVE BEEN WAITING FOR 8 Years MAN IVE BEEN LISTENING SINCE 2016," one fan wrote. "SINCE I WAS 12. NEVER BEEN TO A SHOW OF HIS. THIS HIS FIRST TIME COMING TO CHICAGO AND I CAN FINALLY AFFORD TO GO AND THIS IS HOW YALL DO US??????"

"PLEASE UNCANCEL THE SHOW," another wrote.

This would've been NBA YoungBoy's first show in Chicago since King Von was killed in 2020. The Chicago native, and close friend of Lil Durk, was shot and killed in Atlanta by an associate of YB's artist Quando Rondo. The United Center may have been aware of YB's reputation in Chicago. Before the show was canceled, the venue informed attendees that bags of all sizes were not allowed inside.

"For the NBA YoungBoy show on September 24, bags of ALL SIZES, including clear bags, will not be permitted inside the venue," the disclosure said. "We recommend traveling light and only bringing essentials like your keys and wallet or leaving larger items and bags in your car."
