PATTI DIAZ - Born and raised in El Paso, TX, Patti started at Power 102 in 1992 as a part time employee, and with lots of hard work and determination, Patti earned a spot on the morning show and has been waking up listeners for the last twenty years as co-host of the Power 102 Morning show with Patti Diaz and Mike Dee. Patti is also the Program Director for Power 102 and HOT 93.5 – El Paso's Old Schoo, the newest radio station to launch in the market. Patti uses her position as a manager to ensure the radio stations remains active in the community and promote fun and safe activities for area families. She serves as Vice President of Mike Dee’s Big Adventure, a local non-profit established by the Power 102 Morning show that takes teens with special needs on a trip of a lifetime Patti spends a great amount of time behind the wheel traveling with her son on “adventures” to new sites and scenes. Radio is Patti’s vehicle to represent women and encourages them to be strong, independent and vocal. As a single mother and a career women, she is on a mission to be an example to others. MIKE DEE - Mike Dee grew up in El Paso, Texas and graduated from Bel Air High school. During his senior year of high school he lost his sight due to a genetic condition. Not wanting to be discouraged, Mike expanded his independence in dealing with a disability by moving to Austin where he obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Radio Television and Film in 1999 from the University of Texas at Austin. He continued to deal with his sudden loss of sight by putting all his energy into his DJ work. In 1992, he fulfilled his life long dream by joining the Power 102 morning show. Mike Dee met his wife, Hilda, when he first moved to Austin and later married. They now have two beautiful daughter’s, America and Vida. In 2009, Mike founded the non-profit organization “Mike Dee’s Big Adventure” to assist teens with disabilities. To the surprise of many, one of Mike’s hobbies is carpentry.
