Mike Dee and Adrie hit the streets in a limo from City Lights Limousine to help El Pasoans beat the triple digit heat. They saw Jacklyne Lucas and her son, Kalil, waiting at a bus stop and offered them a ride.
Turns out Jackie and Kalil were on their way to a Doctor's appointment for Kalil.
Kalil was given a MIC-U button for a feeding tube when he was born due to a cleft pallet . He has had several surgeries and can now eat whole foods, however, he still utilizes the feeding tube for medications.
Jackylne says it usually takes 2-3 hours to get from her home to Kalil's Doctor's Office. Because of his weakened immune system, long exposure to extreme heat can cause him to get sick.
On this particular day, the temperature in El Paso was 103 degrees.
Thanks to City Lights Limousine, Mike Dee and Adrie were able to get Kalil out of the heat and to his Doctor appointment in 15 minutes.
